The 2030 Group advances "a strong regional economy that provides continued new employment opportunities and sustainable prosperity for current and future residents of the Washington metropolitan area. We have initiated independent, academic research and analysis to better understand the growth trends affecting our region today and by the year 2030, to bring needed facts for a constructive dialogue among the region’s leaders."

Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) is a regional organization of 17 local governments surrounding our nation's capital, plus area members of the Maryland and Virginia legislatures.

DC Appleseed Center for Law and Justice solves problems affecting the daily lives of those who live and work in the District of Columbia area -- from health care to voting representation to education reform to environmental concerns to jobs and housing.

Greater Washington Board of Trade

Metropolitan Washington Labor Council AFL-CIO

The DC Fiscal Policy Institute conducts research and public education on budget and tax issues in the District of Columbia, with a particular emphasis on issues that affect low- and moderate-income residents.

Brookings Greater Washington Research Program conducts studies of the metropolitan area of Washington. Its web site contains a further link to data about the Washington D.C. area from the Census Bureau and other statistical sources.

DC Vote works to secure full voting rights in Congress for the residents of the District of Columbia.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, has fought since 1920 to improve our systems of government and impact public policies through citizen education and advocacy.
